In the book The Earth My Butt and Other Round Things Virginia 'Gin' Shreves is insecure about her weight. A long with worrying about her wait other problems occur in her life. Gin Used to look up to her older brother Byron Shreves so much that is until he got into some trouble at school. As for Gin's social life, her best friend has moved to Walla Walla and she is left lonely, or is she? *SPOILER ALERT DON'T READ FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THIS BOOK I'LL TELL YOU WHEN IT IS OKAY TO READ AGAIN : )* So you thought Froggy The Fourth was going to be a poop and not talk to Gin in school, Same. After Gin snapped at Froggy He still joined her Webazine. Froggy turns out to be her perfect prince charming. By then end things smooth over with her and her family. Even though they pressure her about loosing weight and fitting in. Virginia Shreves finally becomes more comfortable and confident with her body. That is the best thing a character/person can develop, Self confidence. * OKAY YOU CAN CONTINUE READING HERE!* This book is a fantastic book for teenagers. Teens can really relate to this book because it is written in the eyes of a teen. Virginia's problems are relateable and that is probably why this book can be so enjoyable.
